Teams bring family, friends and coworkers together to support a great cause, to celebrate breast cancer survivors, to honor the lives of lost loved ones…all while raising needed funds for life-saving breast health services and breast cancer research. Every team races for a reason. Every Race team makes a difference in the mission to save lives and end breast cancer.

What is a Team?

• A Team is 20 or more people who pre-register for the Race as a group, or a pre-registered group of fewer than 20 people that raises at least $600 in donations by the Teams deadline 5/28/2013.
• Your team members don’t have to participate in the same event on Race day. Team members can choose the event in which they want to participate: the 5K competitive run, the 5K untimed run, the 1 mile walk, or even Sleep In for the Cure.
• Anyone can form or join a team. Any combination of families, friends, companies, schools, places of worship, agencies, organizations and clubs can be a team.

Create a Team

When you create your team, you also register as the first member of that team, which makes you the Team Captain. As Team Captain, you’ll send email invitations to everyone you want to join your team. We encourage all teams to choose a creative team name.

Team Categories

• Small (family/friends teams/companies with fewer than 100 people/employees)
• Medium (companies with 101-500 employees)
• Large (companies with 501-1,000 employees)
• XL (companies with 1,000+ employees or teams with expected members of 500+)

Team T-Shirt Pick-Up

Teams receive their Race T-shirts before individual Race participants. Team Captains (or a designated team member) pick up their team’s Race shirts at a designated location.   See T-Shirts page for more information.
