Teams Sponsor

Thank you to our 2014 Race Teams! Fundraising for the 2014 Race continues through July 31! Add to your individual and team fundraising totals while raising additional dollars for local breast health programs and breast cancer research.

Teams bring family, friends and coworkers together to support a great cause, to celebrate breast cancer survivors, to honor the lives of lost loved ones…all while raising needed funds for life-saving breast health services and breast cancer research. Every team races for a reason. Every Race team makes a difference in the mission to save lives and end breast cancer.

Teams contribute to the event's spirit and sense of community. Through their fundraising efforts, teams also provide a significant source of revenue for the fight against breast cancer.

What is a Team?

  • A Team is any group of 10 or more people who want to participate in the Race as a group. This group may consist of friends, family, coworkers, church and civic groups, schools or any combination of these.
  • Team members do not have to participate in the same event on Race day. Team members can choose the event in which they want to participate: the 5K competitive run, the 5K untimed run, the 1 mile walk, or even Sleep In for the Cure.
  • There is no limit to the number of members you can have on your team.
  • Being part of a team is fun and a great way to experience the Race!
  • A team is a wonderful way to provide moral support for a loved one or friend who is a breast cancer survivor.
  • There is no extra cost to form a team, and it's simple to set up a team.

Create a Team

When you create your team, you also register as the first member of that team, which makes you the Team Captain. As Team Captain, you’ll send email invitations to everyone you want to join your team. We encourage all teams to choose a creative team name.

Who are you running for? Does your team include an inspiring breast cancer survivor? Has your team participated in every Komen St. Louis Race? What’s the meaning behind your team name? Do you have any pre-Race or Race day rituals? Do you dress up or wear a special T-shirt on Race day? Is there a unique, fun, interesting or unusual story about your Race team?
