Seventy-five percent of the net funds raised through the Race stays in the St. Louis community to fund innovative breast health/breast cancer screening, treatment, education and support programs. The remaining 25 percent goes toward groundbreaking global breast cancer research programs, including research being done right here in St. Louis.

The Komen St. Louis Race occurs rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel the event in extreme circumstances. If the Race is canceled, no refunds will be issued. Instead, your entry fee and fundraising donations will go to Komen St. Louis and to the cause as if you had participated.
May I bring my pet to the Race?
For the safety of all participants, and an insurance liability, we strongly discourage having any animals on the Race site. We also discourage the use of inline skates. Thank you for your cooperation.
RACE REGISTRATION AND ONLINE TRANSACTIONS
Is my registration fee tax-deductible?
Registration fees are not tax-deductible. Any donation you make above the registration fee amount, or any donation made without registering for the Race, is tax-deductible.

FUNDRAISING FOR THE CURE PROGRAM
Is there a fundraising requirement to participate in the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®?
Fundraising is not required but strongly encouraged. Your registration fee gets you to the starting line; your fundraising dollars get us to the cures. We encourage everyone to meet the Power of Ten challenge! Simply ask ten friends for $10. If every Race participant raised $100, that would mean more than $6 million in additional life-saving breast health services and breast cancer research.
Does my registration fee count as a portion of my fundraising efforts?
No, registration fees are not included in your fundraising total for the purposes of prize/incentive determination. Registration fees also are not included in your fundraising total for the purpose of determining Pink Honor Roll membership.
Are fundraising dollars tax-deductible?
Yes, any donations you make above and beyond the cost of your registration fee may be tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted under the law.
How are fundraising dollars used?
Seventy-five percent of net funds raised through the Komen St Louis Race for the Cure stays right here in the St. Louis community to fund local breast health/breast cancer screening, treatment, education and support programs for those most in need. The remaining 25 percent goes toward groundbreaking global breast cancer research, including research being done in St. Louis. For more information, visit www.komenstlouis.org or www.komen.org.
